BRICK at Liberty Station Wedding Photography: Anna & Justin’s Cozy December Wedding in San Diego
Some weddings feel extra special, and Anna and Justin’s day at BRICK at Liberty Station was one of those full-circle moments.
I had actually met Justin the year before when he was a groomsman at his friend Jonathan’s wedding, so being there to document his own wedding day felt incredibly meaningful. From that connection to the heartfelt moments woven throughout the day, everything about this celebration felt personal, relaxed, and genuine.
A Rainy December Day (and the Perfect Indoor Venue)
December weddings in San Diego can bring a little unpredictability, and Anna and Justin’s day came with on-and-off rain. Thankfully, BRICK is one of the best venues for exactly that.
With its fully indoor layout, the day flowed seamlessly without any stress about the weather. Instead of worrying about rain plans, Anna and Justin were able to stay fully present and enjoy every moment. And honestly, the cozy atmosphere paired perfectly with the romantic, wintery feel of their wedding.
Getting Ready & A Meaningful Prayer
The morning began with the couple getting ready separately; Justin at a nearby hotel and Anna at home, surrounded by their closest people. These slower, intentional starts to the day always create space for genuine moments before everything begins.
Before heading to the venue, Anna and Justin shared a prayer with their bridal party, grounding themselves in what the day truly meant. It was one of those quiet but powerful moments that set the tone for everything that followed.
A Ceremony in BRICK’s Statement Space
The ceremony took place inside BRICK at Liberty Station’s signature room known for its high ceilings and wall-to-wall exposed brick. The space itself makes such an impact. It’s simple but bold, allowing the focus to stay on the couple while still creating a warm, intimate environment for guests.
As Anna walked down the aisle and the two saw each other, you could immediately feel the emotion in the room. And once they were officially married, there was one thing that stood out more than anything else, they could not stop smiling.
Rainy-Day Portraits at Liberty Station
After the ceremony, we stepped outside into Liberty Station for portraits. The rain had started to come down again but instead of letting it interrupt the moment, Anna and Justin fully embraced it. They laughed, stayed close, and true to the rest of the day, never stopped smiling.
There’s something about rainy wedding portraits that adds an extra layer of emotion and intimacy. The overcast light, the quiet surroundings, and the way couples lean into the moment all come together to create something incredibly memorable.
A Vintage-Inspired Reception with Personal Touches
The reception space was transformed with greenery, baby’s breath florals, and an abundance of sweet desserts, creating a soft and inviting atmosphere.
What made it even more special was the vintage DIY feel woven throughout the decor. Every detail felt intentional and reflective of Anna and Justin’s personalities, nothing overdone, just thoughtful, meaningful touches that made the space feel uniquely theirs. It’s always a reminder that weddings don’t need to be extravagant to be beautiful. When the design reflects the couple, everything just works.
A Full-Circle Wedding to Remember
Anna and Justin’s wedding at BRICK at Liberty Station was more than just a beautiful day, it was a meaningful one from start to finish.
From reconnecting after Jonathan’s wedding to witnessing their joy throughout the entire day, it felt like everything came full circle in the best way. Rain and all, their wedding was filled with intention, warmth, and genuine happiness, the kind of day that reminds you what weddings are really about.
